Under the sign of the blossoming cherry tree, JaVi creates an authentic Asian atmosphere. Our elegantly interior is brightened by the shining cherry blossom rosΓ© and invites you to a delightful experience. Inspired by Sakura, the Japanese cherry blossom festival, and the diversity of Vietnam's spices, we create artistic Vietnamese meals as well as sushi and sashimi specialities of the highest quality and wonderful taste from regional ingredients.
+ fresh and tasty sushi which is not quite standard! - Understandable, since everything is freshly rolled but the waiting time for the sushi is not always appropriate. especially when there are not always many guests at lunchtime! Overall, I am here often and gladly and can recommend it to others!
Thank you for delicious experience! One of the best Japanese food in town;)
Takeaway review. Ok food. Large serving buy needs a little more spice in the curry.
Very good
Not only is the ambience beautiful, cozy and elegant, it dominates the selection of different dishes and is sure to meet every taste. It has to be said that sushi is rarely served at such a high level as here at JaVi. It is definitely worth reserving early!
Super nice restaurant with a beautiful interior, friendly staff and, above all, incredibly delicious food.
Great facility with two cherry trees in the middle. We tried the sushi and it was prepared with great care. Of course the dishes were all fresh as you could taste and the prices are very fair. The waiters were also very friendly and helpful. Thank you JaVi team !!
By far this is my favourite restaurant in Munich, artistic food, great taste. Just WOW
It was my first experience with Japanese / Vietnamese cuisine. No problem at all in this great restaurant. Polite, nice, clean and tasty - that's the clear conclusion. Highly recommended.
A really great restaurant. Very tastefully decorated and the food was very tasty! The eye can eat both in the ambience of the restaurant and in the way the dishes are served and presented. We recommend. TIP: Make a reservation in advance. Especially in times of Corona, best 2 weeks in advance!
Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, acceptable prices. Food (sushi with breaded prawns as a starter, Osaka platter for two as main course) and drinks (Merlot) were very good. We would love to come back!
Very chic restaurant with two cherry trees in the middle. Friendly service and very good food. Good labeling of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Good selection on the lunch menu.
I tried the duck with mango and coconut milk. :)
This place looks absolutely amazing and the food is spectacular. (I'd come by night though since its prettier when it's dark and all the candles are lit). Beautiful Sakura Trees decorate the restaurant and the food is very much authentic. They bring big sushi platters in a huge fancy japanese serving platter. The gyoza and Udon cay were our favorites, I would definitely recommend that!
I went there to eat for the first time a few days ago with my wife and friends. We are all very enthusiastic about this place. The ambience looks really good. It is not this typical Asian restaurant in terms of appearance. Hence a clear plus point. And the food, folks what can I say it was just so delicious. The choice of dishes and drinks is sufficient if not above average. The fact is you have to reserve there. Just going there spontaneously is almost impossible.
Food is delicious, price-performance ratio is just about reasonable. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our food yesterday, there was no proactive apology from the waitress, let alone compensation in the form of starters / snacks to bridge the waiting time.
The food is pretty nice, and the environment is very cozy
Very Nice place great atmosphere and delicious food, just perfect!
Love sushi here! And plum wine is amazing! Not giving 5 out of 5 as it is not possible to tip via card only cash.
Nice and very well-kept ambience. Waiting time is a bit longer, but speaks for itself if the restaurant is well attended. Fine, very well presented food. Friendly service. Unfortunately, the price segment is a bit too high.
Overworked employees, dismissive nature. Very long waiting time, even with a reservation. Was on a Saturday. At some point I gave up and went somewhere else. I'm very reluctant to give negative reviews, but this is my first time, hopefully it was just an exception.
Delicious food. Gorgeous ambient, friendly staff and a wonderful time we had as always. You need to reserve ahead since scouple of weeks, because they are so full but it is worth it.
Great food & very good quality! Always happy to go there! We were served great. Unfortunately, it has recently become impossible to tip by card. Unfortunately you hardly have any cash with you during Corona times ... I was really sorry for myself ... especially because you can't reward the dear waiter for his very courteous service - which perhaps explains the demotivation of some other waiters? The restaurant has developed from an insider tip to a very popular spot. A reservation at the desired time is therefore often not possible, and a different time is only suggested when you ask again. The interior and the ambience is great. But I would always make a reservation because the restaurant is always very busy and a table is otherwise unlikely ... Maybe it is time for a second location? Thank you for the many beautiful evenings!
One of the best places in Munich to try sushi and rolls. They really care about how it should be made and served, most important parts of the Japanese cuisine is aesthetics of the dish and quality of the fish and here they definitely know about it, because our rolls looked and tasted simply wonderful. Also I should mention that place itself have quite nice atmosphere and their prices are little bit lower than you would expect according to local price level + quality. Without any doubts I can recommend this place if you are looking for good sushi and rolls and know what does it mean.
My favorite asian fusion resturant
1st of all this is a Vietnamese restaurant with Vietnamese staff which serve also Sushi and Sashimi. Most of the menu is Vietnamese food and has nothing to do with the rich Japanese kitchen. I orderd sushi plate for 18 euro but the portion and sizes of sushis (Maki and Nori) was very little and quality was normal. The Vietnamese food was good and the portion and price was acceptable. The restaurant ambiente is nice but the time to deliver was almost long. (considering making sushi). The Toilettes are clean but drinks except beer are expensive! 8 euro for 0.2 L Chardonnay white wine is way too much over price for this avarage restaurant. I have asked several times by different staff: if everything is ok ? Which was also too much( on my opinion on a good restaurant you shouldn't feel the presence of waiters). After all it is a good Vietnamese restaurant but definitively not your best experience from Japanese Cusine or the number one!!! MΓΌnchen Japanese restaurant as it is shown in google.
Amazing Food and great design in the restaurant
Amazing food, nice employee and fast service. We had a nice experience at Javi :)
From a culinary point of view: one of the best Asian restaurants I've eaten in. In addition, there is a dreamy interior in which you feel particularly comfortable. The wait staff complete everything perfectly with their outstanding friendliness and professionalism. Everything is done right here. Bon appetit βΊοΈ
Fantastic dishes, friendly waiter and the place was very nice and comfortable. Recommended 100%
Very good restaurant. Interior is done really nicely. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The waiter came by several times and asked if everything was okay, Good service.
Really good service and the food was delicious.
For a Vietnamese woman, I have to say that this restaurant is the first restaurant where I am ready to spend money every time! The food is very, very tasty and nicely presented! I don't even have to talk about sushi! The staff is also very nice, the interior design delights everyone with its lovely manner. Definitely to be recommended!
A great find on our Munich weekend. Fabulous food and excellent multi-lingual service too. Loved the Coco-Dua dessert. The sushi was fabulous as was the big Ramen bowls. Superb well made and well presented cocktails. Great decor and ambience. 5 star!
Food is good but service is very bad! On Wednesday I reserved a table for Sunday, I called again to make sure that it was inside. So called twice. When I arrived at the reservation on Sunday, I was told that there was no reservation. We got a table, however, in an adjoining room where we were seated next to other guests with a large dog. Unfortunately it smelled of it too and he left some hair in the restaurant.
High prices, but very nice atmosphere. Good fish quality, always go to Javi. Rice dishes are also good
Very bad service, unfriendly, impatient, dishes ok and quiet expensive. I can roll a better sushi than them :)
Definitely one of the best restaurant experiences in Munich. And by far! I am very impressed with the quality of the food, the service and the ambiance. Excellent and tasty vegetarian and vegan options, although they could offer more selection. Wish there were more restaurants like this in Bavaria!
Fantastic place. The decoration is great and the food as well. The staff is not the nicest but everything else in the place makes up for it.
Very delicious and super comfy and welcoming. Before going for okay sushi, go here. It's worth the extra money
A very nice restaurant in Munich. The sushi is very high quality and of the best quality. There is a large selection of different sushi variations and sushi menus. The restaurant is wonderfully decorated and you feel full right away. In addition to sushi, there is a large selection of other great dishes. So there is something for every taste. Definitely worth a visit, we would love to come back.
Amazing food and service! Great place to go
Good food
Munich Magazine had posted some photos of JaVi and it looked really good. We decided to go at eat there with some friends before everything got shut down from Corona. The food was excellent. I think the sushi was probably the best I have had in Munich so far. I really liked the spicy tuna roll. It had a unique and fresh flavor to it that I wasn't expecting. The ebi tempura Maki wasn't my favorite. It felt like there was way to much tempura and very little shrimp in the roll. A friend also got the shrimp dumpling (ha gao) as an appetizer and although they were physically made well they were not as good they are supposed to be. I really enjoyed the food but also have to say that it was surprisingly expensive. I would go again but would pick more carefully what I order.
Amazing atmosphere and decent food
Good sushi
Really nice restaurant and food
Love the Pho Bo - and the sushi!
My fav place for delicious food
Authentic Japanese restaurant with big variety of specialities. Quick and friendly service and delicious food! Highly recommend
